The three Lignos siblings run the operation of the Company and continue, as stated, the tradition of almost a century in shipping.
Michael G. Lignos
Is the Managing Director since 1984.
He has been involved with the family business since 1978.
He holds an MSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
Anna G. Lignos
Is Deputy Managing Director since 1984 and has been active in the family business since 1976.
She holds a BSc in Economics from the Piraeus University and has studied Maritime Economics in London.
Stelios G. Lignos
Deputy Managing Director since 1999.
He holds an MSc degree in Shipping from the Plymouth University (1995) and an MSc degree in Shipping Trade and Finance from the City University of London (1996).
Department Managers & Staff
Captain Ioulios Perakis
Cpt. Ioulios Perakis has a sea service of more than 25 years whereas he commanded as Master many ships under Prosperity management.
He joined the Operations Department in 2001 as Marine Superintendent.
He is the Operations Department Manager since 2009. He is the Deputy DPA and the ISPS Security Officer.
Mr. Alexander Livanios has nineteen years sea service as Chief Engineer in vessels managed by the Company (1970-1989), subsequent to which he joined the Company ashore as Superintendent Engineer.
In 1993 he became Manager of the Technical Department.
Mr. Konstantinos (Kostas) Georgiou started his career in Shipping from 1986, after completing his studies in NTUA (National Technical University of Athens) as Naval Architect / Marine Engineer.
After his training in Elefsis Shipyard he worked for Associated Marine Consultants (AMC) Co. as supervisor in construction of new buildings and several other projects.
He has also worked as Technical Manager for Trustoil Tankers Co. Ltd. He continued his career as General Manager at Athens Diversified Shipping Co., followed as a Technical Manager for Trinity ships INC.
In March 2018 he joined Prosperity Bay Shipping Co. Ltd.
Captain George Kapoulas
Operator, DPA/CSO/MLC Coordinator & HSSE Manager
Cpt. George Kapoulas is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy of Epirus.
He holds a Captain “C” Class degree, with more than 4 years sea service in bulk carriers.
He holds a DMS in Shipping and an MA degree in Shipping, both from the London Metropolitan University.
He took over the role of the DPA/CSO and MLC Coordinator as well as the position of Operator and HSSE Manager in January 2016.
Mr. Michalis Magklis left the public sector in 2008 in order to join the shipping sector.
He worked as a Financial manager (Treasurer) at Athens Diversified Shipping Co. for four years and then as Deputy General Manager till June 2017.
He joined Prosperity Bay as Commercial Manager on July 2017.
Mr. Panagiotis Mouzakis completed his Marine Engineering Studies in 1982 while concurrently working on ship repairs at marine work-shops.
He has fourteen years sea service in a wide variety of bulk carriers, tankers, and container ships, (as Chief Engineer for the final four years).
He joined the Company’s Technical Department in 2009.
Mr. Dionysios (Dennis) Skiadaresis holds a BEng in Naval Architecture and an MSc in Marine Engineering, which he received with Honours from Newcastle University.
He has been trained in Financial Analysis at a multinational investment bank and financial services company headquartered in New York City.
He has 2 years of experience working for an American Asset Management private company, providing consultancy services to clients in the UK and Switzerland.
Mr. Skiadaresis has 6 months of sea service in bulk carriers.
He joined the Company in January 2018.
Thomas F. Jackson
Mr. Thomas (Tom) Jackson is the Company’s Financial Advisor on all matters, liaising with the Company’s executives.
Mr Jackson has been an Associate of The Institute of Financial Services (formerly The Chartered Institute of Bankers) in England for 40 years.
Mr. Jackson has considerable domestic and international banking experience, having served with NatWest Bank for 31 years in England and in Greece – including six years as Head of Shipping in Greece.
He is a past lecturer in England in ‘Finance of Foreign Business and Foreign Exchange’ for the Institute of Bankers Examinations.
After leaving the banking sector in 2000, Mr. Jackson established Paralos Finance Corporation providing financial consultancy services to Greek shipping companies.
From 2004 to 2008 he also served as Chairman of Top Tankers / Top Ships Inc (NASDAQ Listed).
Dimitris Gialouris holds a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras, and an M.Sc. in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School-London.
He has more than 20 years of experience as a manager in Shipping Finance departments of various banks (ABN AMRO, EFG Eurobank and Marfin).
In 2014 he established his own company “Symmetry Maritime Advisors”, specializing in shipping finance.
Technical & Spares Coordinator
Ms M. Boulou holds a BSc in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus.
She holds an MSc degree on Economic and Business Strategy from the University of Piraeus.
She joined the Company as Technical & Spares Coordinator in late 2005.
Mr George Sotiriou studied Economics and Accounting in Athens University.
He joined the Company in 1986 and he is the Accounts Manager since 1990.
Accounts Department Assistant
Mrs Mary Tsolia joined the Company’s Accounts Department as Assistant in 1990, after completing courses in Accounting and Maritime Studies.
Ms K. Chrysanthakopoulou joined the Company as Secretariat in 1987.
